I had the same pro...That is one BEAUTIFUL blanket! I had the same problem with my interchangeable needles and then one of my friend's who is an expert knitter told me that there is a little pin that you can use to screw them on tighter. Honestly, my first thought was "how would that help?" but I tried it and it worked! The pin in my set looks like a bent paperclip...well sort of. Mayber your kit has something like that? Look for tiny hole in the needle near where you screw it in. You might also ask someone who knows a lot more about knitting than I do (which is most knitters, by the way!).
