More Baby Clothes

Emi's Sweater

I have noticed some beautiful pictures of a friend's daughter.  She often wears clothes with brown and pink.  I like the color combination, and decided to make a hexagon sweater with those colors.  The pink is a solid stripe, and the brown is a 2dc shell, giving it a little lacy effect.  I bet she will see this before I give it to her.

Then,  I started another prayer shawl yesterday.  They take a lot longer, though.  I decided to put that down for a while and make something quick, and I ended up with this orange striped poncho for an infant.  Yes, I like those bright colors!

Hexagon Baby Sweater

I just love bright colors for babies.  I chose the colors and striping part, but the original pattern in a solid color is here. I think either a boy or girl could wear it.  What do you think?

Hexagon Shrug

My daughter is modeling the Hexagon Shrug that I made for myself.  I found the pattern here.  I used a size M crochet hook, and about 6 1/2 skeins of Caron's Jewel Box yarn in the Lapis color.  I crocheted really loosely so it would fit me.  It is very drapey, and fits my daughter as well.  It worked up really fast, once I got going.  It probably took about 5 hours.

When I posted this picture on Facebook, my sister commented "My pretty niece looks like her mother did at that age."  So, I found a picture of myself when I was in sixth grade, and compared.

Minus the glasses, I do see the resemblance.  What do you think?

Toddler Boy Hoodie Sweater

I finished a hoodie today that I started last summer, and lost the WIP.  After finding it again, losing the pattern, and downloading it off the internet, I finally got 'er done.  Now I have to wait for a youngun' to give it to.  To me, it looks bigger than a 24 mo. old boy would wear, but I have never been good with sizing.

"Nested" Photos

I had some jars left over from a cappuccino mix gift set at Christmas, and had seen the jars repurposed for pictures on C.R.A.F.T. blog's Glass Jar Round Up. These were a perfect size for the photo's I wanted to use.  Now, I can have my family with me all day at work. ;)
