Two Projects with Puff Ball Yarn

The baby blanket is finished!  It really knit up pretty quickly, once I got the hang of it.  I think it is around 30"x 36".  I actually knit through one ball and part of another ball before I decided it was going to be a lot bigger than I planned.  So I frogged it and redid it.  I like how it turned out.  Even my husband commented on how soft it was.

I only used two skeins, so I decided to crochet a scarf with another skein.  The pattern was demonstrated on a video by Mikey, from The Crochet Crowd.

It is very quick and easy.  I finished in about thirty minutes, and still have about 2-3 yards of yarn left.  Now I have to figure out what to do with the other skein.  Maybe I will make another scarf to give to someone else.

  1. The finished blanket looks lovely. I've got some blue wool similiar to this and didn't know quite what to do with it. I'll check out the link you posted, thanks.

  3. My sister gave me some yarn like that for Christmas. I knitted it into a scarf, but found it very hard to judge the width and had to reknit several times. Yours looks much nicer.

  4. I've often seen yarn like this and wondered what it was like to knit/crochet with. Your blanket looks super cosy, perfect for when the weather turns colder and the scarf looks cuddly too :)

  5. The blanket looks so soft and squidgy, it will be lovely to cuddle into. It looks like a difficult yarn to use so well done.
