One a Day~7/2

I managed to get nine hexies done in the last week for my One a Day project.  All are the same color, to see how many I can get from this ball of yarn.  I am looking forward to finishing this ball, so I can make the shawl more colorful!

And I had to share this picture of my dog, Pipsqueak.  She often cuddles with me while I am crocheting. <3

Princess Pipsqueak

I saw on another blog that the blogger crocheted a crown for her pug, and I thought that Pipsqueak could not be outdone, so I had to make a crown for her.  She kept it on for a while, but it got lost during her night wanderings.  Who knows, it may even be in one of our beds, since I swear she bed hops all night!  :)

Scrap Yarn Dog Blanket

When I saw a video tutorial yesterday for a Lazy Wave Crochet Afghan from The Crochet Crowd. I decided to use scrap yarn and make a blankie for our dog, Pippi.  I used variegated scraps and some matching scraps to create the piece, following Michael's pattern.  It's not perfect, but I don't think Pippi will complain. ;0p  Besides, it is reusable, washable, and nicer than the old newspapers she used to put in her crate when we had to leave the house. ;)

Pippi's Coat

Okay, I  just couldn't help making the dog coat/sweater again.  I had just enough left-over yarn from another project to crochet this one.  Still not sure whether Pippi likes it or not, but she calmed down after a little cuddling.  At least she didn't rip it off like I heard a friends's dog did.

Dog Sweater

Reading that Shih Tsus were not bred as outside dogs, and may need a sweater when walking, I decided to crochet a sweater for Pipsqueak.

I thought she looked adorable, but the kids were saying I was silly for putting clothes on a dog.  She seemed nervous when I had it on her, too.

Maybe we will leave it on the toy dog that my daughter had, before we got Pippi.  At least there won't be any complaints.   :)
