Now on to the project. I have seen lots of hexagon projects on the internet lately, and have wanted to try my own. I found a pattern for a hexagon motif that I like from the JPF Crochet Club site that Julie had as her featured free pattern a couple of months ago. I have done a lot of other projects since then, but finally decided it was time to use a bunch of sport weight yarn scraps and give it a try. I only have two hexies to start, but I have started.
I have to remember to work the pattern backwards since I am left handed. As I was writing this post, I just realized that I crocheted pentagons instead of hexagons, so back to work I go. At least it doesn't take too long to get these redone. 0_o
Two Pentagons |
Forty minutes and four frogs later, I think I got the design right. ;) It will get more colorful as I go along.

Thank you for your visit to my blog!!!
Thanks fr vsiting me yesterday. Looks like its just the two of us at Tuesday Tallies this week!
Love the hexagons its a nice pattern. I've got a hexagon blanket on the go which I need to get active with. Yours don't look too big, how many do you plan on making? I like the look of little squares but find all the sewing in of ends a pain and have taken to making larger squares lately. Enjoy your week x
beautiful! I appreciate those who have the patience, because I don't have it.
I think this will end up being a prayer shawl, but I really don't know yet. It depends on how many I get out of all my scrap yarn.
So nice! Another hexagon project with One a Day. It´s looking great although it seems really hard to crochet lefthanded!
I've been seeing hexagons all over the place. Have you seen the knit puffy ones on Ravelry? I'm sure there must be a crochet version somewhere.
